Doncaster Rovers Football Club is a club based in the town of Doncaster, South Yorkshire. The club was founded in 1879 by Albert Jenkins after he gathered some of his friends to play a game of football vs the Yorkshire Institute for the Deaf and Dumb. The game finished 4-4 despite Jenkins’ side taking a 4-0 lead. The current home for Doncaster Rovers is the Keepmoat Stadium which they joined on the 1st of January 2007. Before this they spent 84 years at the Belle Vue ground where they experienced many moments that makes the club what it is today. Doncaster Rovers currently play in EFL league 1 which hey have done for the past 3 years but almost making it into the championship via the play offs in the 18/19 season, eventually losing to Charlton on penalties. Despite playing their football in league 1 for the past few years, they have has spells in the championship, league 2 and even non league football.
